Dr. Luke Douthat Named TMS Principal
Bristol Tennessee City Schools is excited to announce Dr. Luke Douthat has been named the new principal of Tennessee Middle School, effective July 1, 2024.
Dr. Douthat comes to TMS from Tennessee High School where he has served as an assistant principal for three years. Prior to joining BTCS, Dr. Douthat worked in Kingsport City Schools for seven years, two of those as associate principal at John Sevier Middle School.
“I am honored to be selected as the next principal of Tennessee Middle School,” Dr. Douthat said. “I look forward to working alongside the faculty, staff, parents, and community partners to support our students both academically and socially. Collectively, we will be committed to fostering relationships, maintaining a high standard of academic performance, and celebrating the accomplishments of our students.”
Dr. Douthat will replace Seymour Ray, who will move to a districtwide role as the new Coordinated School Health coordinator.
